At BrokerLogic Inc. ("BrokerLogic", "we", "us", or "our"), we take your privacy and the security of your financial data seriously. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, protect, and process data on behalf of licensed Mortgage Brokers in compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial laws.

1. Our Role as a Data Processor

BrokerLogic operates as a Data Processor (or Service Provider). The licensed Mortgage Broker requesting your documents acts as the Data Controller. We only process your personal and financial information at the explicit direction of your Mortgage Broker for the sole purpose of facilitating your mortgage application.

2. Data Residency & Infrastructure

We are proud to operate on a 100% Canadian infrastructure. All physical servers, databases, and document storage buckets utilized by BrokerLogic are physically located within Canada via Amazon Web Services (AWS). Your data does not cross international borders for storage purposes.

3. Artificial Intelligence & Data Extraction

BrokerLogic uses enterprise-grade cloud Artificial Intelligence technologies (Google Cloud Gen AI / Vertex AI, processed within Canada) to automatically classify and extract necessary metadata from uploaded documents. We do not use your personal information, financial data, or documents to train public or external AI models. Data processed by our AI systems is strictly isolated and discarded from the active AI container immediately after classification.

4. Security Measures

We implement bank-grade security protocols to protect your data, including:

  • 256-bit AES Encryption for all files at rest.
  • TLS/SSL Encryption for all data in transit.
  • Secure API integrations for transferring files to your Broker's designated Microsoft OneDrive environment.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Documents uploaded to BrokerLogic are held temporarily on our secure servers to facilitate transfer to your Mortgage Broker. Your Mortgage Broker has full administrative control to permanently purge and destroy your files from our servers at any time. If you wish to have your data permanently deleted from our platform, please contact your Mortgage Broker directly, and they will execute the deletion via our platform tools.
